I have been trying to catch carp in a stream I've tried dough balls corn a lot of baits that yall have posted here but never so much as a bite... is it possible that my carp are turning up their noses cause its not a natural bait should I walk around and find the bugs that are out right now and try them?

Its not about how deep you can fish but by how you wiggle your worm

We use a variety of things to catch carp, so I don't think its your bait per se. What specifically have you been using? We'll use cornmeal, oatmeal, peach and cinnamon for our method....or a big red & wheaties mix....then pineapple & tooty-fruity boilies....and thats usually been really successful for us. From time to time we do have to switch things around depending on where we go.

Then of course there's some people who don't use method or boilies at all.

Whats your setup like?

I have an UL rod with 6 lb test and only ever use a small size 6 hook, I have used basic dough balls corn bread ( I dont have money to do much more) and when I do my baits I only use my bait and hook as weight because I dont really have good terminal tackle for um from what I have read, as for they can see me I've been pretty sneaky I have had them come up and look at my chum and bait but they have turned their noses like it wasn't what they wanted

"carp in a stream" - Try this.. for 3 days throw out a few hand fulls of bread in small pieces at the same spot, at the same time of day. Do not fish! The 4th day do the same thing but this time put some bread molded onto a hook with the hook tip exposed.

Or do the same thing but replace "bread" with "canned sweet corn". Actually, an old favorite of mine is to chum a bit with canned corn and then dip bread balls into the corn juice. Carp love sweet corn bread balls. wink

Sweet corn catches good. Cheap bait too, like 88 cents for great value.

Please do not be offended. I'm only here for the good time.

since you can see them when you go there start putting in bread balls (squish between your fingers till all the air is pushed out) in until you see them feeding on them. This may take a couple hours so maybe walk down the creek or and try some other spots or just wait.

Then come back and see if they are feeding on the bread if so add your hook. They must have plenty of food already but after they get used to your bait being there i'm sure they will start scarffing it up. The same goes for sweet corn. Dump a whole can in when you first get there. Or toss out 10 or so bread balls.
