Today was my first time to fish this lake and to say I am very disappointed would be the understatement of the year!!!!! I tried every jig, slab, minnow, and bait in general you can imagine. Fished about fifteen different spots and only caught one fish. The smallest catfish I have ever seen! Someone please give me a hint as to where can find these elusive crappie I have heard this lake is known for. Thanks in advance.

This past Tuesday and Wednesday they were on brushpiles in 12 to 15 fow and deep docks. I'd tell you where the tires are but, then I'd have to kill you!!!!
It is a struggle in this wind we've had all spring so look for structure in a cove out of the wind as much as possible. Hopefully this front that passed this past week will be the last for awhile, unless the next one brings a lot of rain.

Thanks for all the tips. @okiebob You have officially made it my life's mission to find these tires. If you see a ranger working a grid pattern come say hi. I'll be scouring with the down/side imaging all day.

Salival, if I see you today it will be from my deck overlooking the lake...and I probably won't be on it in this dang wind!

My grandparents used to own land that had a creek running thru it that ran into Cedar Creek. We I was a very youngun, we'd sit on the creek bank with cane poles & wear them out in the spring. We had towsacks that we put them in. I know that this will not help you out, but I couldn't help reflecting on some fond childhood memories thumb
Good Luck on your search!

I fished out there yesterday and only caught three. I fished brush and some docks that usually produce around a two man limit for me and I couldn't buy a bite.

Well we fought the wind and still were defeated. That is until I got the little guy in picture on my line. I pulled that "little" guy in on a chartreuse roadrunner jig, on 6lb test, and with an ultra light rig . No crappie but this fight made the trip worthwhile.

Went out today and yes the wind did suck but I still managed to get a few crappie under the bridge. Saw a guy there who caught a monster crappie that he thought was almost record breaking. It was rough on everybody out on CC today.

The picture tells it all. That's obviously a Bass boat. Those Crappie on CC are smart, they only give it up to Crappie boats. clap fish
