Any tips on where to redfish around Lafitte, LA. There is so much area and I don't even know where to start? I like to fish the Marsh when possible.

Yes, jump over to Hwy 23 to Venice, Lol... I assume that you are going to Lafitte for a specific reason and not just to fish? Check some of the local guide websites.

The Pen and upper Barataria Bay are areas I've fished before, but that's been a while back in the fall months. Look up Phil Robichaux. He's been guiding down there for years.

Run south in the Barataria Waterway out of CWay Marina. Maybe 10 miles. Look for an area called the 'Texaco Canals'. Take a 90 degree left into the main canal - there was a cell tower on the west side of the Barataria waterway, that was a good landmark. Lots of cut up marsh back there that holds reds. Look on Google maps and you will see it - see boats running out of the canal and several running north in the waterway. Ask at the Marina too.
STAY in the canals when running though, or risk losing a LU, as you will see oilfield junk everywhere on what used to be land. You can spend a day back there and not cover 5% of the area.
Sometimes there is a lot of freshwater grass in spots, so throw spoons, soft plastics, even frogs on top of the grass, just like bass. Gulp under a cork works too, as will spinnerbaits for reds.
Good luck.
