Where in Ft Worth are you located? There are lots of places all over but a general idea where you are located would help.
I know of places in White Settlement, Keller, North Richland Hills, some in Ft Worth.

There's quite a bit of open area around Marine Creek lake and a few city parks on Lake Worth. Plus, you can go into the FW nature center and hit the Trinity River. Benbrook also has some nice parks.

There are a ton of great bass in the trinity with consomption bans on some stretches the quality and quantity is very high. Bass in the 6-7 pound range are very common in the right areas several this size can be caught a day. I am including downtown in this you would be amazed as well as some nice size carp in there to sight cast to.

Head over to Backwoods (the outdoor store on W. 7th St. across from Montgomery Plaza). Go upstairs and talk to the guy in the fly fishing section (Stephen or the other guy who's name I can't remember :)). They'll give you a wealth of information about local fishing spots and they can give you info on local clubs too.

If you are looking for bass, I've been doing pretty good as of late on the low water crossings on the trinity as of late. Sinking Tip, Chartreuse and White Lead Eyed Clouser.
