Take it up to Auto Zone and they will have it in stock. Worked for me.

Plano marine has them for $16!

Go to ebay. Query Nitro prop gas strut. I bought 2 with freight for $23.00. They take offers. Try $5-8 below their stated price. You'll need to know what extended length you need and what force. My Triton uses 12" -30lb and went to 35 lb for a bit more power. Let me know if you ave any questions. I'll go back if I need more. Worked great.

I got mine from Ranger cheaper than I could get them from the parts store. If you get them from the parts store be sure they are the same strength. Most of those are hood and deck lid shocks.

You can get them from the Basscat.com. Go to parts, make sure you verify which one you need they make different lengths and different strengths. They come in 30, 40 and 70 lbs. Big compartment will require the 70 lb. It will be marked on the side of the shock.

Pop them off, take em to any good auto store and match em at the store. Really is that simple!
