I installed a comfortroll myself. Not difficult at all and as stated, no cons, just pros.

Installed the comfortroll also. It doesn't seem that great until you fish out of someones boat without a recessed tray. Then you realize how much that sucks

Its like they said, I installed one about a year ago on my older skeeter bass boat an man what a difference it makes on your back and legs. Your not tired of fighting the trolling motor at the end of a days fishing. Don't remember the brand name though, but a great investment to you and your boat. Installed it myself with ease.

There is only one "con." The con is how mad you are going to be at yourself for not doing it sooner.
One of the best mods you can do to a boat. I used the Comfort Troll. After I drew out the template on the deck, it took me a few minutes to build up the courage to start cutting. Cutting a big ol' hole in your front deck just doesn't seem right.
A few tips. >Remove all the rods from your rod boxes. I have heard of people cutting the ends off of rods left in the boxes.
>Put it as far foward on your deck as possible.
>Be sure to strongly secure the drain line on the bottom of the tray. If the line works its way loose, it is very difficult to re-install it after the tray is in.
>Measure twice and cut once. I have installed two and both times the hole I cut using the template was a little too small and it took a lot of filing to get the tray in. I think I was probably cutting the inside of the line on the template. Go ahead and cut the outside
