This video is pretty nuts, this guys wrestles a Tuna in his Kayak Would you ever do this? Even for a record fish? Kayak Angler Wrestling Tuna in Open Water

Forgive me for the two stupid questions I'm about to ask (not familiar with salt water fishing at all!) but I thought you weren't allowed to fish Tuna anymore? Or is that just some species of Tuna....or do you need a permit for it? Also, what are the yellow jags along the Tuna's tail? Sorry for the dumb questions

Forgive me for the two stupid questions I'm about to ask (not familiar with salt water fishing at all!) but I thought you weren't allowed to fish Tuna anymore? Or is that just some species of Tuna....or do you need a permit for it? Also, what are the yellow jags along the Tuna's tail? Sorry for the dumb questions You can fish tuna, but some speices, such as bluefin, are very restricted as to when, where, and how big you can catch and keep. You do need a $25 boat permit to keep some tunas, but other tunas, such as the blackfin, don't require it. The yellow "jags" are called finlets and are yellow on most tunas except the blackfin. BTW, the tuna in the clip was a yellowfin tuna.
