Bamboo is pretty tough. I would say so. Graphite Is tougher than fiberglass. Not to mention if u break bamboo, it's pretty cheap to replace it.

I believe it was a magizine article i think infisherman fished that exact way on a river. They used a heavy pole with braid and cutbait and was actually standing on the brush and dipping the bait in the holes in the limbs like a person would jigging for crappie. They didnt use a bobber though and when they hit the bait the guy said just a short jerk to get them hooked and pull fast to get them back out the hole as quick as possible. Think its more the heavy pole and braid that helps not specically the brand of pole

Mark thats the way these cats are. They are up in the brush like crappie I have been throwing sour grain milo out at the edge of the brush but when you make a hook up with them it's in the brush they go with every thing they have got. If the fish weighs he puts all he's got into geting back in the brush,if he weighs 5 or 6 well it's in the brush. I had one pull my crappie pole out of the boat into the brush and the tail end of that pole was about 2 feet in the air
