This may or may not be at the bottom of Lake Nac. Think it will work? This is what it looks like on my Elite 5 DSI. The second one is the one on the right. We made a triangular piece to help fan out the poles and you can see it CLEARLY on the DI! We also put a Christmas tree down there which you can see on the bottom and the big condo is on the left.

Hey guys. I'm a life-long bank-fisherman that recently bought a boat. After seeing the photos from the new fish finders, I had to have one. Even thought I didn't really have the $$... I still had to have one. So I bought the Lowrance HDS 12 Gen2 Touch. Anyway, I've had it out on the water 3 times, and it's just incredible. I'm new to fishing from a boat, so I have a lot to learn so I may be asking everyone a lot of questions! Thanks. Tim I hope these images are viewable: This one was taken from Lake Ray Hubbard. Just trolling around and checking out the finder and making sure I installed everything correctly. This one is also Ray Hubbard - I think I found someone's fish attractor. The branches on this "Tree" appear suspiciously straight. This one was at Cedar Creek Lake - Just trolling around and saw what appeared to be a school of shad swimming around a small group of larger fish. Anyone know what kind of fish this is?? This one was also Cedar Creek. I dont know what kind of fish these are, but they appear huge. Look at the size of the shadows these things produced. Anyone care to comment on what kind of fish these are? I am guessing large stripers, or maybe even large catfish: I believe this was Ray Hubbard. I was trolling over a river channel and you can see a school of fish nearby. Some larger fish near the bottom. Anyone have any idea what sort of fish these are? Comments welcome: This image was taken under a bridge. You can see the pillars, and what appears to be fish all around them: I hope you enjoyed the photos. Catch you guys later, Tim

Great photos. The best way to tell the type of fish is to catch them. If you notice, you sometimes see fish on the 2d better than the SI.

Bamboo pile dropped on standing timber. Bamboo pile with crappie on it. Nice shot of Bamboo with a Humminbird. Where's Keith. Ok Bobby. Here keith is.... This is a pretty nice shot, but it is showing exactly what I am talking about. This Boo Structure is build with a lot of Boo sticking up, Thick in Boo, and it shows up well in these PICS. My point about the Boo, is when it is this thick, you can only fish the edges of the structure. You have a real problem working a jig down inside the Boo Structure, and NO CHANCE of getting a fish out, if you get jig in. So, we have had to reduce the numbers of sticks of Boo in our buckets, to 5-6 pieces with limbs left on. That is still enough to attract crappie, but not enough Boo to keep you out of the pile when fish are holding tight to the structure, and will allow you to absolutely get the crappie out of the middle of the pile. So this Boo in the PIC is several sticks of boo, throwing off a dence reflection for the SI to pick up, and a heavy shadow. As long as you are putting out Boo Structure like this, HB will not have a problem picking them up. But reduce the number of pieces of Boo to where you can fish it even when fish are inside the structure holding tight, and HB will not show this Boo Pile. My HDS will barely show it, and the HB will not. This is the point I try to make, but you guy keep running off with the HB Sucks idea of what I am saying. Look at the POST from Ahn on the Cedar Creek thread, and those are pic with his cell phone, shot off the screen. HDS-8 Gen 1

Wow man, you sure flip flop alot, first you said that you cant see bamboo with humminbird units. Now you change the story and say it depends on how many sticks you put in..After a very clear shot of bamboo was posted using a humminbird unit. does it matter what time of year its cut down? or the variety?? your too funny man.. When I was a kid, there was another kid that played marbles with everyone, and everytime he lost, he would try to change the rules. It was either, no you fudged, or you cant use a baloche against a cateye, or the marble didnt move 2 inches, and on and on. He never would concede .

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

Well, We can't all catch under size crappie, put them in a glass house with in our house, really hasn't got much room talk. But, if I was a law breaker also, I would ask the crappie whether his buddies was going to be on Timber, or Brush Piles too. By now I bet that crappie just might be 10", but should a GW come by to check him out, I wonder what he would find. Plus would he find something in his book about having a game fish in an aquarium. I know a couple of the GW's down that way. You are a Class Act also. Please don't get it stirred up with me. I stay away from your post, and I would like it if you just wouldn't post to me, about me, or anything directed at me. And I will do you the say way. The invitation still goes, incase your wanting to find a couple of these simple Boo Piles. Also, Is this also more advise about things that you came make your HB do, that other Pro-Staffers, and Hummingbird say just won't happen. http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbt.../998_GPS#UNREADI see this all the time in you quest to be a electronics genius, but again, you are falling short. But hay, as long as you leave me alone, I will do the same for you. keith

I went to Ray Roberts yesterday and explored some of the main lake brush piles...thought I would post a few shots... This is the main brush pile I fish in May...they liked orange headed chartreuse body and yellow tailed jigs... this one is a close second on choices...they liked minnows better here... and a third shallower brush pile I just explored and didn't fish... and a fourth brush pile I explored and didn't fish... it was one of the prettiest if not the prettiest day I have ever spent on the main lake...the first brush pile is at least a mile from the closest land...dead middle of the upper right arm... I caught probably 75 fish but only 11 were keepers with the biggest being 12"...it is early yet and I will give it two - three weeks before the really start to turn on.... my question for the pros that know how to read these graphs is do you see any crappie?....I am very new to this Lowrance unit... by the way...if you had wanted sandies, they were chasing bait all around me yesterday as is evident by how many schools of bait fish I saw on the sonar...
