I will be fishing with my father in law this weekend and we want to fish new water. We are looking for something within about an hour to an hour and a half drive from Waco. Could anyone tell me which of these two lakes would be best for a good day? Fishing for largemouth. We are also open to other lakes if you can think of somewhere better. Thanks!

Whitney has actually been fishing pretty good. Smaller creeks and drains off main lake with square bills and plastics. Will see what this major cold front will do tomorrow.

Navarro Mills for Crappie or Richland Chambers for sand bass or hybids. Areas near the dam are good on either of those lakes right now.
