just a ? do your boat batteries need to be charged at all times or is it better to let them run dead then recharge {like drill batteries } nothing worst then running dead batteries

If you have a good quality onboard charger, I would recommend leaving them plugging into a 120 volt AC plug always. Let the onboard charger maintain your battery's voltage levels by essentially "trickle" charging them.

The only time they shouldnt be fully charged is when your using them.

I use an onboard 4 bank charger that has a maintenance mode. I have always left the boat plugged in and during the winter months, it stays plugged in for 4 months without use and I have never had any battery damage and my batteries typically last 3 years or more before needing replacement.
