Greetings my bluegill cousins. I am primarily a bass fisherman but do enjoy taking my wife and son bluegill fishing a few times throughout the year and I also stop in and read your posts from time-to-time.

Anyway, I was thinking about taking them to Caddo this weekend and was wondering if any of you have been lately and if they are on beds.

Thanks for any info you can provide!

I have not fished Caddo. As for for the beds I have been seeing a few Gills on beds this past week. They are starting to get pretty active and I have been catching some good ones in both the lakes and creeks. Getting em in 3 to 6 feet of water. cheers

For the most part the Gills are on nest. Here in South Central Texas I have been catching em in 7 to 12 feet of water depending on what part of the lake I am fishing on. Also been pulling em in areas where the bottom is clay or gravel.

Cass - I'm going to Caddo on the 19th. I saw one report that they are on the beds. I've always had good luck around Sand Island.

Let us know how you do.

Thanks for your service to our Country!
