I have one of the recent Field and Stream Tech-Spec rods from Dick's Sporting with the micro guides. It's very light with a fast tip and very sensitive. $80 Wife has a Johnny Morris Medium Fast tip from BPS. Super lightweight, regular guides, very sensitive. $100

I used to use a BPS Tourney special and it really is a good rod for the money. I know we all like our nice rigs (see kistler constant cheering squad) but for the budget oriented fisherman the BPS Tourney combos can be dependable and catch fish. I used to use a tourney special with one of their extreme reels and it did just fine.

Skeet Reese rods are great and have a lifetime warranty, also the duckett rods are on sale for 100 at academy right now.

I use a 7' M Abu Veritas micro guide. I love it and have had zero issues. Great rod for $99.
I also have a 6'6" MH TFO Siganture series that I use for other applications and wish that I had another to use as a dedicated worm rod. I would replace every rod I own with them if I had the budget. They are not quit as light as the Veritas but the extra weight is negligible and they are very comfortable in the hand for long periods of time. They just feel right if that makes sense.
IMO they are the best rod in that price range and have a great warranty too.

I have a lot of the $100 budget rods. Veritas, Compre, Carbonlite, and TFO. My favorite one to fish with by far has been my 13 fishing omen rod. This rod is sweet and fishes like it should cost twice as much. I will tell you the rod weighs 5oz's so use a heavier reel. I use my gen 2 revo stx and balance is great. The trigger takes time to get used to but the blank is awesome.
Gone fishin', be back at dark-thirty!

Denali Jadewood. The absolute top of it's class at $89-$129 +1, this is a SOLID rod for the money and the MH has substantially more backbone than most other MH rods on the market (with the exception of the Veritas, that sucker is stiff as all get out but I didn't like the feel). Check out the Halo Daylite series as well, absolutely one of the best rods you'll find for $80-$90.

7" is a very short rod! lol
I'm using a falcon bucoo bcc 7-17 for my texas rigs and am satisfied with it.
