I always see this lake when flying over it. It looks super clean like an old rock quarry. Anyone know anything about it?

There's a map right there to the right, Clay. hammer

It's off 380 east of 75. I've never been over there. If there's fish in it and it's crystal clear I definitely want to go check it out. The underwater release shots in my last GoPro video made it look like I was fishing in a sewer. rolfmao

Since its off of ''Private road'' I called the company near the area...The lady said she not sure who owns it, But is pretty sure its private property.....I found this on you tube..Read the comments...Looks beautiful, but appears to be private...Interesting comment on its clarity.

Definitely not a treatment plant. Probably an old quary as you said. I drive by that every morning, but have never actually seen the water. Collin Co Appraisal district says it is owned by "380 Investors Inc" so I doubt you can get access to it.

From the comments it sounds like you can very easily access it. It also sounds like there's a good chance the cops will come.

Comments also say the water appears blue due to high arsenic levels, and that swimming in it could be fatal. Yet the video shows kids diving into it. Anyone know anything about minerals/chemicals that make water appear blue? Is arsenic the only viable option?

I almost want to risk having the cops come to get some footage in that bright blue water with the white rock backdrop. stir

I think that is the old blue granite or limestone quarry right out of Princeton owned by the Moore Brothers Garbage company back in the late 80's. They sold out to BFI waste about 1986. Don't know after that. I do know that it is old and deep. The Moore Brothers are back in the Dallas area now so it would be easy to find out.

Of course this also could NOT be the lake I'm thinking about.

It is an old quarry. At one time they were gonna use for a land fill. The was a big ordeal about it. There was a issue with someone diving getting hurt or killed so they fenced it in and its posted no trespassing. My son used to go there(We lived nearby) and he said there is fish in it. I would love to kayak there but I think the cops would show up.

I believe copper will do the same thing to the water.

There used to be a pit just like that behind the block buster warehouse by bloomdale road, some one drowned and they filled it up, but I used to kill crappie on a small rattle trap back there
