I have a HDS-9 Gen @ touch on the console w/ structure scan xducer on transom. I have a HDS-8 gen 1 on bow with structure scan xducer on trolling motor. Can I network them to see either structure scan image (front or back xducer) from either unit?

I have no experience with the Touch units but with HDS units you would have to set up the NMEA 2000 network to be able to swap back and forth viewing the transducers.. but like I said i haven't spent much time with the touch units and not sure about swapping between LSS transducers

All you need is an ethernet cable. You no longer have to have the network cable.

The HDS8 still required the LSS-1 module to make structure scan work. The Gen 2 touch doesn't. I have a network and they are both connected to it, but I can't share the front/rear transducers. Rear is rear and front is front. I'm afraid to experiment because of Lowrance's poor customer service and refusing to repair the Gen 1 units. I think I might need to run the rear transducer (for the gen 2 touch) through the old LSS-1 module but I don't want to burn anything up. It's too expensive to guess at it. Thanks guys, if I find out, I'll share.
