From what I've heard they are open, I haven't personally been.

rocky creek park launch should be open, private is closed

Figured I would revive this post because I was thinking about trying benbrook for the first time this weekend. What ramp would be the best bet close to the dam?
Also, if anyone wants to pm me with any tips for sandies or hybrids, I wouldn't mind.
If you see a guy in a little aluminum who looks lost this weekend, say hi.

The ramp at Longhorn Park is right next to the dam but it's never open. Don't know if with the rising water level that has changed. Dutch Branch on the NW corner is your best bet. The privately owned marina is hit and miss with what time they open, the service is hit and miss depending on who's minding the store, the driveway is/was horrible and most of the time the ramp is out of the water so I quit launching from there.

Benbrook marina ramp is open. They open at 6am on weekends. To fish the dam, this is where I would launch.

If they wake up late (it happens) they leave the "cable" down so you can launch and pay them later. Did they fix the driveway? If not watch the pot holes!

During the week, the do sometimes open late.  but Don now works weekends so he is there usually around 5:45. Im usually there around 4, so pretty much have it to myself the driveway is still pretty rough on the right side of the ramp, but ramp is fine and good to go. It's frustrating, yes, but kind of understandable that they don't spend alot on up keep for the parking lot, when the ramp is out of the water 1/3 of the year, sometimes more. That means no income.
