My friend Brant(Marsh Hunter) and I had the honor of going fishing with Matt. What a heck of a nice guy and very enjoyable guide to be around. Man does he know that lake. We nailed several hybrids right off the bat. We probably caught 20 to 25 nice hybrids. The bite slowed there and we moved of and nailed a boat load of magnum sandies. I forgot how big the sandbass were on Tawakoni. Many were 16-17 inches and sure could stretch your line. Below is a pic and it was only a portion of the fish we caught. We only kept what we would eat. I will be having hybrid on the half shell tomorrow night.  Matt is an excellent guide and I highly recommend him if you are looking for a great experience on Tawakoni.

Excellent work and congrats a great time. If you get lucky lately and catch the weather just right then any lake is a great place to be. Especially Tawakoni. Well Done.

None of Matt's pictures are photo shopped! This really does happen consistently with him....Dizzy Dean once said, "It ain't bragging if you can do it." Matt never, ever brags- his clients do that for him!

None of Matt's pictures are photo shopped! This really does happen consistently with him....Dizzy Dean once said, "It ain't bragging if you can do it." Matt never, ever brags- his clients do that for him! That's absolutely true! Sometime I just don't understand about making your fish look bigger that you normally catch, and when customers see those exaggerated fish pics,... only to be disappointed on their guided trip with said guide... I think Matt is only skeer of himself because he caught so many BIG fish, and...  a true fishing legend in the making! A salute to Mr. Tawakoni!
The pursuit (where are the fish), rigs design and setup, scouting, the awesome feeling of casting your rigs 100+ yards out, the total focus on the fish and the elements, the outdoors... the total exhaustion at the end of your fishing day,... the cooler full of fish to bring home... Yeah, I'm going to miss bank fishing!
