Only had a few hour to fish, the plan was to find new spots to fish. So we set out in search of some crappie. First three spots produced some nice crappie including the first one of the day that wad close to two pounds but trying to hoist the fish in resulted in a broke rod and lost fish. Check some points and rock which only added a few fish. Finally set up on a brush pile and caught the remainder of our fish. Seems like brush is going to be key now until winter. All of out fish came on jigs except one on a minnow. Key colors on jigs were black/white/chartreuse. All fish except one were full of eggs. Pic of a few that are going in my belly tonight.

Just kidding! Great job! I was out huntin for new spots myself today on Lewisville and ended up with 10 fish off of 2 new spots.

That what happens when your used to fishing Joe Pool and a fish over 2lbs is few and far between. But it was a rookie mistake it will be ok . Next time I will lip instead of flip. Hard lesson learn

them bigger fish don't snatch up out a the water so easy ....
at least you didn't do that with your buddys rod on a drum like I did last spring ....
