I love catching bigger fish then crappie, sandies,hybrids ,and oh yes Bass. Yup(catfish),BUT how do you get all of the shad scales off of your hands? days later brushes,,scrub pads ,etc ,etc? Ya I know dumb question.

just lick them off

Barbasol shaving cream takes off the smell. I just usually pick the remaining scales off as they dry off over the next several days.

Once your hands are completely covered they will help protect against cuts and pokes from them catfish spines. Kind of armor if you will. Haha

I scrape mine off with a pocket knife. since I usually catfish on Saturdays, that means I'm usually scraping the shad scales in church on Sunday while listening to the pastor. Wife does not appreciate this practice.
