I found a pair of Diamondbacks last fall & this one posed for pictures. I know a snake post usually sparks a debate, I just happen to be fascinated by them.

Been a dead harmless grass snake...had I seen it....I would have been taking a photo of me skinning/eating that rascal.

Nice... I read that we have been selectively breeding quieter rattles because the loud ones reveal themselves more easily and get shot.

Actually, the hog predation on the rattling rattle snakes has lead to the quieter snakes...it can be a problem if you try to avoid them, or aren't paying close attention...but the hogs are doing a fairly good job of lowering the snake population....In some areas that is a necessary evil....

Been a dead harmless grass snake...had I seen it....I would have been taking a photo of me skinning/eating that rascal. I usually just let em be..... Unless they are in areas with kids around.... BUT after they get to be above a certain size.... Then it makes it worth it to eat em up... Straw
