changed fuel filter and didnt plug wire back up and went to lake and motor started and idled fine but when tried to take off it would only bog down and after about 30 sec. buzzer made a solid beep. Is this because water wire was not conected or is their other trouble.

Start with a water pump "kit". Solid buzzer is heat only.

Its an overheat alarm only. Oscillating "beep" is oil and/or water in tha fuel filter on efi motors...........

Overheat doesn't read water temp. It reads head temp.....

Really makes no difference when a heat problem jumps out at cha. With good pressure at idle and/or speed. Could be T-stats. They don't effect pressure. Doesn't sound like a poppet problem. It usually does effect pressure in one way or another. Complete kit or just impeller?
