You should have worn a rainbow shirt.

There are quite a few arms of the creek that can be really good fishing. Caught a 23" LM last summer. Sight fishing can be a lot of fun because of the water clarity and depth. Throw a senko or tx rig. I usually start at the furthest south part of the creek and work my way north. Good luck.

Throw something flashy, that tends to work in that part of town.

A Gucci spinnerbait or a Tiffany diamond encrusted Red Eye shad? Oh, wait...this time of year red is the key. Ruby encrusted Red Eye shad.

SHHHH stop telling people about this place! There are no fish in it, I promise.

But if there were fish in it, they would probably love a frog, small black/blue jigs, or small jerkbaits. Not that I've caught anything on those...

I grew-up in one of the less affulent areas of Dallas and successfully fished Turtle Creek for many years. I had to make my own spinner baits out of hood ornaments. Started with a Cadillac hood ornament and upgraded to a Mercedes later on. Hope this helps.

Went there today again and caught 5 bass. I always have good luck by the lily pads with frogs. Caught a couple small on crankbait and 2 large around 15" with a swim bait baby bass. Will admit lily pads have really grown so you do have a chance of loosing what you caught as you are bringing them in.

I grew up there and used to fish there from 1st to 8th grade almost every week. There are some big fish in there.

The part of the creek at Lakeside and Armstong always looked like a good spot to fish the times I drove by it.
