I recommend going with Berkley 100% fluorocarbon, use 10 lb or 12 lb, depending on how much cover there is for bass to get wrapped up in. If you plan to fish traps and deep cranks on the same rod I recommend 12 lb. Consider putting some mono line backing on your reel to save some space and prevent wasting expensive fluorocarbon. Usually you can get 3-4 reels out of one spool by doing this.

This isn't from experience, but I asked basically the same question a couple of weeks ago and the general consensus was if the fish doesn't get a good look at the bait i.e. cranks, spinner-baits etc, mono is fine. If the fish is going to see it, i.e. worms, Texas rigs, Carolina rigs, etc. slow moving baits... use flouro, and when polled: Seaguar Invizx was the most popular choice.

Invizx if you choose fluorocarbon.
McCoys Mean Green if you choose a co-polymer line.

Either one in 12-15 pound test.

I use Invizx fluorocarbon on everything but top waters (mono) and frogs & A-rig (braid).

+1 I think I've tried them all, and spent way to much money basically testing them, go Invizx and don't look back! But just wait and someone will say VANISH.

True, but you will find that flouro allows your bait to reach significantly greater depths, plus provides more feedback as to what the bait is doing/is in contact with. Costs more, yes. Worth it? Definitely IMO. And like you referenced, Invizx is very tough to beat for a tried and true cranking line! If the structure your fishing allows for it, 10lb is the way to go. As noted, square bill and traps should probably be used with line in the 12-15lb range in most cases.
