Beautiful fish and water. Lake Medina actually had the state record LMB for like 40 years. Then the state planted florida's and Monticello beat the record in 1980. The rest is history.

It wasnt in lake medina. I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to fish two lakes on a buddies ranch that were untouched. Average fish was 7-8 pounds and caught 14 over 10 biggest being 13.72. Said the ranches previous owner stocked it with florida strain largemouth and they never fished it.

I thought at first you were talking about Lake medina. So I was assuming your picture of the water was what was left of the lake.

Lake medina is super low right now we were going to head over and do a bit of fishing but the locals told us it wasnt worth it

It looks like that is close to the town of Medina, lots of little jewels to fish up there. Medina lake is pretty much a dead stick, we'll over 81' low, what fish are left are suspended and stressed. Very sad.

he runs guided hunts and fishing trips on the la contessa ranch. Its ridiculous to see that many fish just swimming around. Hes got a mount at the lodge from one of the first fish he pulled out of the big lake and it was 16.23
