Ok guys I need some help I am looking for the best fishing line out there. I would like to find a line with low memory and small in size around a 17 to 20 pound test thanks for your help.

I usually go with Berkley Trilene. Its great fishing line and is pretty in expensive. I buy the 1 lb spools of anything over 20 lb test because I have about 100 1/4 spools with 50-100 yds of line left on each. Figure Ill sell them for $.50 each at my next garage sale.
If you go to PUREFISHINGGEAR.com youll see one company makes stren and trilene and spider wire.
I will tell you bass pro shops mono sucks. tried it for 1 trip and had several break offs.

add another one for berkley hadent fished anything else in years. unless im talking leader line or braid.

My all time favorite go to line in Trilene XL 17lb. It casts well but is heavy enough to handle some abuse and its cheap. If I'm using a spinning reel I really like Suffix Elite in 10-12lb. Again, it's cheap and has very little memory but is still pretty tough. If I'm gonna use braid I go with Power Pro 30-50 lb. It works great, lasts a long time and isn't too expensive.

Go with Berkley 15 lb Big Game in green and you will be able to handle most fishing situations. Like already mentioned, the line is reasonably priced and very tough. I've been using it on Toledo and Rayburn since the 1980's because it was recommended by a Toledo guide. Fishing the heavy grass beds on both lakes it has held up great. Landed bass up to 10.5 lbs with it. I've experimented with different lines and always end up going back to Big Game in green color.

The best line, with no memory and high strength and low diameter is Power Pro.

I'm a fan of 15# P-line CX Premium because it is a "mono" with an outer coating of fluorocarbon. Handles well, strong, and low visibility under water. I like clear/blue flourescense because I can see line movement better. KVD line conditioner reduces line memory.

+1 For '17lb' I'd use their 15lb test. It has yet to break of any fish I've hooked and it casts like a dream.
