We had a club tournament out there over the weekend and weights were pretty low. All the community holes and obvious stuff wasnt too good. Federation tournament on the same day took 27 lbs to win. I heard they fished brush piles off the beaten path all day.

Keep structure minded, there isnt much structure in that lake, structure could be weeds underwater, trees underwater, or even some of the rocky points.

Big fish are deep. Lots of fish shallow. Take you pick. Still slow overall like the recent normal
128 fisherman at the federation tournament and 60 zeroes. Although it was much tougher due to high pressure.

Yeah pressure was ridiculous saturday. Don't know if the cold front had much to do with it water was close to 65 at safe light.

Sixty zeroes......yuck. I wish I knew the lake better. I can always find some shallow, but not really proficient with the deep brush pile fishing........yet.

My passion...........figuring out the fish. I don't care what I catch!

I caught right around 22 lbs on my best five not this past weekend but the weekend before. Some big sacks have been weighed in the past two weekends. Caught all of mine in shallow shallow water.

We are going to attack the lake with 2 boats this weekend. Going to bass fish first........and then try for a cooler full of catfish for a fish fry.

Caught "0" bass in 2 1/2 days of fishing.... Fished from 0 to 13ft... Looks like most of the bass caught in the tournament were in 2% of the lake.

Bass must be caught out of same holes, released and then later caught again in a few days back on the same honeyholes that everyone else fishes.

I drive by Slummerville on my way to Fayette.
