Left you a message David, Joe has put so much peer pressure on me I guess I gotta get one too  The mounts I have seen in person have been a little flimsy and seemed to have some slop in them. Twok gets rough, so I think I would rather bolt one down directly to the boat or hold out to look at a more solid mount.

I had one when I got my CC and never could get used to it. I am thinking about getting another one, I am a slow learner.

In a nutshell, either set-up will work with the addition of the rail/plate/adapter that will bolt to the "extra" motor.

Twok gets rough, so I think I would rather bolt one down directly to the boat or hold out to look at a more solid mount. No doubt! The Minnkota Quick Disconnect White plastic mount is for the birds. I have cracks in 3 places. Phillips mount is aluminum and aint going NO WHERE!

Joe, a Minn Kota representative looked at my set up today and is shipping the MKA-48 this week. I'm having it installed Monday. After talking to him today I think it will be the way to go!

This is great info!!! I had put my 101 riptide up for sale as I couldn't use it as a back up for the iPilot. Saved me big $$$$ and there are times I would rather have the hand control. Great solution.

Phillip at RSR installed mine yesterday. Its great and has every feature I like it so much, I think I'm gonna quit fishing and just troll around all day
