I gotta say, one kick arse little lake. Anyone have any tips or experience? I felt really out of my realm the last few days, fishing only Fork has made me really closed minded.

The results were not great but had a blast regardless. Plan on making several more trips before July.

Good luck seems like most people with any info on that lake tend to keep it to themselves.

Good a-rig and swim bait lake! Nothing real special as far as what to use but there are some key spots out in the deeper water! I have not done it myself but I have heard of people catching them suspended in the deep water once they move to a summer like pattern. Remember it has some nice smallmouth as well shakey heads, drop shots and dragging a tube have been good at times.

was there last week. Saw some of the biggest fish I have ever seen on beds. Very cool lake.

Finesse worms on shakey heads... That's a green pumpkin color loving lake! ... Also swimbaits!... Flukes in baby bass colors have done great for me!

Super clear water. I used to go with my grandfather years ago when I would go up to visit. We would just throw an old john boat with a 9.9 Merc on the water. The lake is HP restricted. They only allow so many boats a day on it as well. GOOD times just me and grandpa. Miss that man, miss that lake as well.

I think you are thinking of Mountain Lake...which is in the Arbuckle Mountains.
