I am not sure on either of these, but I think Oak point pond is behind Oak Point Woodland Preserve: 6000 Jupiter Rd, Plano, TX http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=oak+point+plano,+tx&ie=UTF8&ll=33.055526,-96.671877&spn=0.006232,0.008959&t=h&z=17
I also think that the synergy lake is near the intersection of Synergy park blvd & Renner. Near Waterview parkway & Renner Rd. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=synergy+richardson,+tx&ie=UTF8&ll=33.000768,-96.741958&spn=0.003118,0.004479&t=h&z=18
Good luck! Sponge

Are those public places to fish? I go to Plano a couple of times a year. it would be nice to have a place to fish in the evening.

Fished what your calling the synergy place this morning and looks good but while i was there a crane landed about 50yds fron the bank and was only knee deep. I dont thik youll get much there without a jon boat or waders its grown up and no parking for a ways theyll tow you if you park on the road. I talked to one of the directors of parks and rec and they werent aware of the bass it was stocked with catfish for sure though. I got a few pics of it but dont know how to uplowd them somebody pm me how to do it and ill try to get them up tonight.

Kiddie pond
Caught a Sandbass, catfish, and blue gill all within an hour . All smaller than my hand Good for kids/ used Red Worms from walmart and dropped them to bottom with weight off the dock. Pond recently stocked so dont expect the big ones.

Synergy Lake is like Big Foot, there are reports of it's existance, but nobody can find it. Synergy Lake as described on the TPWD site does not exist. TPWD posts it as a 12 acre lake with LMB stocking in 2007. Several of us here have PM'd to try and find the lake, but nobody can. If you go to google and search all of Richardson, the bodies of water that most closely resemble the description are the widened parts of Canyon/Spring Creek; the small ponds behind the tall glass building on E Prarie Creek Dr; the pond on Renner. Another theory is that it's the small lake at the retirement community on Frankford.

There is a little pond (public park) that is off of Parker and Ave. P or really close to it. If you are heading East on Parker it is about a 1/4 mile before Jupiter. It holds some really nice fish in it. There is grass, lilly pads, a dock, some concrete structures, ect...
This is the best chance that you will have to catch a good one in Plano (East side anyway)
This is a pretty cool little park. They have a playground so your kids can play when they get bored with fishing and seating for Mama also.
ps. There are several places to fish in smaller creeks, apartment ponds, concreted canals, ect... but you have to put some time in to figure each one out.
you know, nothing wrong with seven men who met on the internet going for a swim together

There are two ponds just west of Coit on Campbell, the south one has bass I know, I lived in that neighborhood a long time and walked down there to fish. Biggest one I caught was around 4 lbs.
