I think the bass are protecting there nest. Try a buzz bait with a trailer hook. You found the fish, switch it up a little.

It was my first time to launch there but I will be going there more often now it is pretty nice

It's $5 each time you launch or $80 a year. I launch there now every time. No more IH 35 ramp for me. I can throw my cast net there and get a few nice shad and perch before or after I get off the lake. I give it a thumbs up for sure

another thumbs up for schuman's. been launching there for 8 years or so. they even added a restroom a few years ago. forget i-35!!

I think I will be going Saturday morning it looks like it should be a good day I haven't been there in a few weeks is their anything that has been working good for y'all there lately. I also agree schuman is much better.

I went out yesterday. Only got to fish about an hr and a half before the front hit. But did manage to catch a couple carolina rigging near deep water. Saw fish in the lily's but no takers.

The jig bite is back on, but it sure is hard to not throw frogs in the pads right now. Did pretty well throwing swimbaits through there.
Going to fight the ski traffic Sunday afternoon, I think. Probably the worst possible time to hit the lake.

I found u can throw swimming frogs in the pads all yr long but soon as the sun comes up you might as well put it back in the rod locker..
