Small amount of gray craft fur on top, small amount of white on bottom, one little piece of holographic tinsel on each side...1/80th oz self poured jig head... The one on the left was falling apart, but still catching, the one on the right...lost it in a big fish that snapped my line, then caught that same fish later and got my jig back! Oh, the one on the right, the body is some holographic tinsel... the one on the left, I just used some tiny monofilament tying 'thread' to neatly wrap over the tied material, that gave it a shimmery effect which worked well...

I don't doubt they look like little baitfish under water. NICE!

I tried other colors, same size....nuthin' I released prolly 8 or more that were a little short of legal size. Sometimes they would hit it as soon as it dropped into the water. I'd think it got hung up, then pull on it to free it from the 'snag' and something would pull back and I would be all...whoa, that's a fish...

Funny story about your jig Dr. I participate in green trash fish tourneys. One day I was fishing a hula grub on a red jig head. Set the hook on a fish and he got hung up and broke my line. About an hour and a half we went back to that spot and I got bit again. Set the hook and fought the fish for a few seconds only to have him throw my bait. When I reeled it back in I had a hula grub on a black jig head and on the hook was my other hula grub with the red jig head. My buddy said he would call me a dang liar if he hadn't seen it himself.
RIP CBC "If it ain't broke, don't fix it. If you can't fix it, don't break it"
