So for those of us who haven't fished a Kayak tourney before, what was the rules violation? His ID card to be taken in the pictures was covered up by a free sticker given in a goodie bag?

yes, your identification card must be in full view for all to see along with the whole fish. Coulda been worse. I've forgotten the card all together several times. Doh!

Thanks for clarifying. I didn't get to make it out to the GTG or the Tournament. I'm pretty new to kayaking, but I'd like to try a tournament this season.

I've done it too Thorpedo. Lots of things to learn starting out tournament fishing but well worth the effort and lots of experienced guys willing to help with the learning curve. Hope you make it out to one soon, mbole11 and anyone else that thinks it might be fun. It's the best way to learn your strengths and weaknesses, quick.

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

I think eliminating mistakes are key to this type of fishing. I lost two at the boat and one flipped off the board. It happens to all of us and just have to chalk it up as experience.
