All of my fishing is done in the Central Texas area with trips to Fork about once a month. I already own a pair of old Costas with the 400p amber lenses and I love them. I'm looking at a pair with the 580g lenses but dont know what color to go with. Any thoughts, experience, or help would be great!

Green 580's are the way to go. have a pair of blue as well but find myself wearing the green lenses more. cant go wrong.

Would the green 580's be the best for sight fishing?

The green is best for the dingy muddy that we have here in Texas the blue are for that clear blue water. I primarily use the greens. When I go deep sea fishing I wear the blues

580p's both are real good lenses but the 580p is lighter and wont shatter when dropped compered to the 580g witch are glass, I prefer the blue over the green

Hear nothing but good things about Costas. Though I went Maui Jim and love them.

Maui Jim's are top of the line. Amber lense. Once you own a pair you won't ever change.

3 pairs of S11's. if you're like me the first pair will fly off and into the water the first time you use em!

I have a pair on 580p hammerheads in the amber and the sight fishing in them is garbage but they don't strain my eyes like my oakleys do

Green are for a wider variety of lighting conditions and inshore style fishing which would cover Fork.
