Every time I read one of these posts about incredible deals at places like Wal-Mart, Academy, etc, I can never find any of those bargains!  Whew! Thought it was just me who couldn't find those 'deals'.....

Picked up a 6'6" M Spinning for $29.99 in Hurst tonight. All they had were the 6'6" M and 6'9" ML spinners and 6'6" M Casters.

I stopped in the Stephenville Wal Mart Saturday morning and go two Vendetta rods that were marked 79.99 for 29.99. That was the only two left to my knowledge. I asked the sporting goods guy to scan them and they rang up 29.99!! Very good buy.

The Vendetta sale ended Saturday and was only for the older 2012 models. Had a buddy tell me today that he bought some 50lb power pro braid and it rang up for only $5. Gonna go check out my local one at lunch and see what they have.

I was at the Wal-mart here in Abilene and they had the Trokar hooks marked down for $1. I was about 2 mins too late because I saw a guy walk out with about 30 packages!

I found that sale 3 weeks ago in N. Dallas. I didn't know about the Vendetta's though. I'll have to check them out if there are any left.

Went to Saginaw WalMart per Kicker couple hours ago. They had some spinners left. MH, Med, ML. It was only the older 2012 model Vendetta's I guess. They were not marked for sale at all.
You have to take them up to register and scan. Sure enough $29.99 The 2012's are the more dull color ones. They were mixed in with the new ones.
Great how you guys mentioned this and now I got me some decent rods!

Wallyworld @spring creek and 75 had only 1 vendetta casting left yesterday. Medium/fast. Had a bunch of casting rods though. Also digging through the boxes I found a bunch of tungsten bullet weights. Sadly they were not on sale. Found a couple on bomber squarebills and cotten cordell divers.

Good deals for sure, academy does some incredible ones, two years ago they clearanced daiwa zillions, I bought 6 at $99, every one they had. Those suckers are $310 now
