Anybody use the 7" magnum flukes regularly? I wanted to pick up a few packs and was wondering if you use a swimbait hook or a big EWG.

A 5/0 ewg works well for me. I have also used a weighted swim bait hook. I skin hook mine after it goes through the slot.

Good Falcon bait.

Ive only ever used them at Falcon. Even the small bass will nail them there. Havent had the confidence to use them anywhere else.

Yep. Also, don't be afraid to use them other than Falcon. That's where I first used them but they work up here as well. Won a small tournament with one last summer.

There are a few guys that are known for big fish on lake Austin that consider a Mag Super Fluke a must have. Big baits can produce on L.A. when nothing else will.

I used them almost exclusively at Falcon. And a 6/0 hook. I don't want to miss those DD fish!

They are almost a $1.00 per pack cheaper at BPS. Thanks for the color tip.

Tip: add a split ring to the eye of a swim bait hook for added action. Magnum Super Flukes have a great side to side action are virtually weedless making it the choice weapon in thick cover.
