Be careful, not just for low water but thieves at the ramp. We were there sat- weds last week and on the way home I get pulled over about half way back to houston. Officer tells me I don't have a license plate on my trailer. I couldn't believe it as I know it was there on the way down. Then I get back home and start to clean the boat and sure enough my spare tire on my trailer was also gone. Of course the spare was a new tire on a full size ranger rim. I am going to call it in to Zapata co sheriff tomorrow. There was always a few other trailers there while we were fishing and not sure if this happened to anyone else.

I believe it happened at the public ramp while we were out fishing because we stayed at billy''s rental house with the boat under covered parking right beside where we sleep. Definitely would recommend Billy's place though if anyone is going. Anyway the fishing was still pretty good even for a tough fishing falcon. We averaged around 25 fish per day with a 8.9 being the biggest for the week. Crank until your arm's about to fall off then crank some more was the deal for us. Not trying to talk anyone out of going but just watch your stuff like everywhere these days. Could have been a lot worse things get stolen but I just hate a thief getting my stuff. Hopefully this won't happen to any of you guys.

Sorry to here of your loss. Get it reported, just maybe they will get caught and you might get it back. Good report on the fishing.

Was this past weekend and a guide that's not a Falcon regular got all 4 tires slashed on his F-250 Friday evening. Plus the fishing wasn't so hot, think I'm done with Falcon for awhile! May have to go check out Sam Rayburn or Fork.

Did it happen in Zapata, or the state park?
If state park then call the office and report it. Last winter I had the mirror glass stolen from my suv...350 bucks apiece...
Reported it and believe it or not I get a call a month later, they caught the guys and they were still in possession of my mirrors

It's in the neighborhood across from Falcon Lake Tackle. The same neighborhood you go through headed to county ramp.

Sorry to the OP.
please report all this. There seems to be few problems around here of this type incident. Please report and I'm sorry to hear this again.

stupid morons dont realize how important that money coming in from fishermen really is, especially with the brutal drought conditions. someone needs to catch these idiots and educate them...before stuff like this becomes rampant enough that people quit coming down all together. Some of you locals need to figure out a way to put a serious dent on this.

I don't think that the crackheads are too worried about the local economy.. Or any economy. All a crackhead is worried about is running out of crack..

This really is pretty rare around here.. But it does happen.. Just like anywhere else..

And I checked, but they just won't let me shoot em..

As far as the "Guide" getting his tires slashed.. Sounds pretty personal to me..

Sorry it happened.. Don't know why anybody would want a trailer plate.. Specially a crackhead.. He don't got no trailer.. Unless he was fixin to move his house..

I lost two in the last two years..

Haven't heard a peep about anything else being damaged, vandalized, or stolen..

Sorry it happened to you..
I hate fuckin theives..
