Looking to get a new Depth Finder but do not want to really spend more than $500. Had a Eagle 480 but it died on me. It will go on a 22 ft. pontoon boat. I'm mostly a White/hybrid, blue cat fisherman. What are y'alls opnion on a good one for the money? Thanks,Craig

Looked up the Elite on line and read the reviews. All reviews are good. The only gripe or complaint was they did not show fish very well. The bottum and structure was great but schools of fish they said were liking. What have been your experience with thw elite series? Thanks!

The elite 5 DSI does show schools of bait fish, although you are not gonna see that lunker hiding under the limb on your graph so i somewhat agree with what the review you commented on, however I run a fisheasy 320C below my elite 5 and keep it on DSI and GPS, then use the fisheasy as my 2d, the combo works great for me, just need to try out a few combinations and see what works best for you.

That is axactly the combination I use, 320c for 2D and elite 5 for DI and GPS.
