I am trying to figure out what models are compatible in relation to the other brands... Then compare price difference. I have always been a Shimano guy and really don't know much about the other brands. I love Shimano and don't want to fix what ain't broke but if I never try another make, then how will I ever know.

I was hoping someone could tell me the (Abu, Lews, Diawa, BPS, Pflueger...)compatibles to the following reels.
Core
Chronarch
Curado
Citica

I feel like a $200 Shimano equivalent might only cost $120 with other brands. PLUS, Shimano never goes on sale. Thoughts and thanks
