Every time I hook a bigger bass it always throws my crankbait. Anybody got any suggestions on how to keep these fish hooked?

A: Don't let them jump! (as they start coming up continue to put pressure but put your rod tip IN the water so it forces their head back down)

B: if you are using a fast action rod like you would for worms or jigs you'll loose more fish. Get a composite rod in medium action so it flexes as the fish pulls.

C: Assuming they are in relatively open water or getting close to the boat, take your time and wear them down.

D: Make sure your drag isn't too tight. Remember the shorter the distance between you and the fish the less room for error so be easy!

Hope that helps.

Do your best to keep it down. Put your rod tip in the water and hope for the best. When they come out of the water is when they are most likly to throw the bait.

What type of rod and line are you throwing it on. That's the nature of the beast with cranks but it can be limited by using the right rod and line. Via not tearing the hooks out with to stiff a rod and line that doesn't stretch as much.

Yes, several. Rod/line are important. What are you throwing your baits on? Change your hooks to the short shanks in one size larger. Keep your rod tip down. Keep constant pressure on the fish, especially if your line starts coming to the surface and avoid switching directions with your rod; changing the angle of the hook(s) is a no no. I much prefer to chase it around the boat. It pays to play a big fish out some before getting it close to the boat, so don't rush it, but the flip side is the longer it's in the water the chances only increase that you'll lose it. I've lost far fewer fish on square bills and braid (percentage wise) than on a med-deep diver and 12# line. What i'm saying is don't force the issue, but don't weiner around with it either, trust your equipment and get it in the boat.

Think that's all i got

I've caught a 7 on a kvd 1.0 with these hooks. Use a med action rod, mono, keep your rod down and adjust your drag. If you still don't like crankin ill take em off your hands haha.

Keep the rod low to keep fish from jumping and put Triple Grip hooks on the bait.

First thing is you have to have a crankbait rod with a soft tip to absorb the pull. What I do when they go to jump is pull on them with my rod down and to the side. Usually they will change direction. You can guide fish in the direction you need with the rod to keep them on and from jumping. Hard to explain but once you do it, you will know exactly what Im saying.
