I was fishing Old Alton a while back and as I was leaving 2G. Wardens were leaving also. They asked me if they had talked to me yet... I said no... Couldn't find my license, and got a ticket. Come to find out, it WAS in my box, just camouflaged in a different sleeve than I usually use. My deadline is April 20th... I just remembered. My question is, does anyone know the number I am suppose to call to prove I had a license before my ticket? Again, Denton county. Thanks a million

This is for Precinct 1. This may or may not be the office you need to call but if not they should tell you the correct one to call. My guess is if its not Pct 1 it will be Pct 5 which is Judge Bateman in Cross Roads. Joe Holland, Justice of the Peace Precinct 1

Yep. Because, as we all know, the TPWD's computers NEVER go down............... And tie up the dispatcher looking up a fishing license when it's the persons responsibility to have it on them. There are actually two different tickets that can be written. It's actually against the law to not have it on your person while fishing and that one isn't dismissed. If they write you for no fishing license and you prove you did that one can usually be dismissed. Most wardens are nice enough to write the latter so there is at least a chance for dismissal. On a side note its also law that you have a form of ID with you while fishing as well as your license.

You have to have/show ID when fishing, but not when you vote for the President of the United States of America?
