I could not believe this happened to me again. Took my wife crapppie fishing at Cedar Creek today amd we launched at Big Chief. Upon return to get my trailer I noticed someone took my license plate from my trailer. Why would anyone take a trailer license plate? What benefit do they gain from this? I am just fustrated! My wife and I are on vacation this week and we planned to enjoy fishing together. So far it's been tough. Got my fishing gears stolen at Academy last Sunday. Now I'm missing a trailer license plate. I hope it's not too time consuming to get replacement plate. I hope it's not too expensive to replace. Do I need to report about my plate was stolen? Thank you fellow fishermen.

Guy

since i'm in law enf,i would definitely suggest u report it,sometimes thieves will use the stolen plate on another trailer, since the one they have has expired.too lazy to work like us and keep it updated.not familiar with big chief,r there any cameras there? once u file the report, take the report number w/u to tax office and tell them u need to get a replacement plate,i think for vehicles it runs 5.00.hope the thief is caught and dealt w/accordingly.try to enjoy the rest of your vacation.have a blessed day!

Doesn't reflect well on the folks at Big Chief does it? Of course, they are on the main road and can't watch everything.

I've had vehicles burglarized and outright stolen so I know it's not pleasant. Try to keep it in perspective. You are on vacation, you are spending time with someone you love and you are fishing.

Hang in there Guy!

I hate to admit it but, the area around CCL has a lot of low lifes/druggies that will steal the smell off a dead dog! You just have to lock up everything the best you can and hope for the best. I don't know if it's worse here than anywhere else but, it's plenty bad around here.

Having had the same thing done to me at lake Arlington, I don't screw my plates on the trailer anymore. I use carabeaners. That way I can take the plate off and put it in the glove box while on the water. Sorry about your problems the last few days.

lock hitch and receiver hitch pin. it makes it harder. there was an instance a few years ago at the Old Schoolhouse ramp at Aquilla when a guy came in and his trailer and male part of receiver was gone. his boat was tied to courtesy dock when another fellow came and was gonna let his partner off on the ramp and he hit something on the ramp. it was that guys trailer. vandals unhooked it and rolled it down the ramp.

I heard it didnt sell at auction and they are opened back up. The causeway is shut down, and for a mere 825,000 you can get the building and open her up

Ditto on that area being really dicey. I know there are nice areas but much of that area is meth central. I was on a duck lease in Seven Points for a few years and boy you would see some scary people when you went to town.
