I recently bought a new rod and reel setup. My brother in law had a decent rod and reel but never fished because he never caught fish. Well I handed him a pack of baby bass senkos and said get you gear. Took him fishing and he caught fish. Now he fishes almost daily and is looking into a club to join. As am I. How do I know he's hooked? I asked him so what are you doing with all these fish? He said are you kidding me? I put em all back so I can catch them when they are bigger. He doesn't know yet that bass fishing is a lifelong addiction. I'm gonna let that part be a surprise.

@ Don, yeah we thought we had a line on a starter john boat but it didn't work out. My wife and I are getting ready to buy our first home so spending a couple grand on a legit bass boat at the moment is out of the question. We will keep looking though. @ everyone else, its crazy watching someone fall in love with bass fishing. It brings back a lot of memories. He just sent me a text saying "one fish a day. Turn in your work by 5pm lol. I may have created a monster.
