 Smallmouth in Ray Roberts?

Has anyone on the TFF ever caught one? The reason I ask is because in the marina near the minnow room there is a picture of a woman holding a smallmouth they say she caught at Ray Roberts.

I've caught 3 out of Ray Roberts , all of them were under 10" and over the last 8 months. Evidently they have had an effective spawn.

I might be wrong, but I think the smallmouth record was just hit not to long ago.

I might be wrong, but I think the smallmouth record was just hit not to long ago. Agreed, 4 something if I remember right.

The record smallmouth is 6.16 lbs and was caught in 2011.
TPWD has not stocked smallmouth in Ray Roberts.

I use to work at the BPS in Grapevine, and while working the Ray Roberts record smallmouth was donated to them. Got to feed it a few times, it's a beast of a smallmouth!

I live a mile from the lake, the locals say that some bass clubs brought them down from Texoma.

I caught my first small mouth out of Ray Roberts 18 years ago. So they have been there a lot longer than it seems people think.
