Fished this lake a little on Saturday and did not do to bad.

Caught about 8 around the same size while exploring the lake. The specs on it are around 150 acres and it is completely full of timber.

The lake has completely recovered form its accidental draining a few years back. The bass all seemed to average around 15 to 16 inches. Though I didnt catch any the a couple of people I met in out and about had a stringer full of crappie. They had a couple of 4 to 5 lb bass on it also.

This small lake is perfect for kayaking unless the wind is out of the south east. There isnt really anyway where to hide from a southeast wind.

Also it is full snakes

BIG SNAKES!!!!

Yeah I probably saw 10 that size. The good thing was they where not interested at all to see what I was up to. Another plus to that little lake is there is a 30 hp limit on all motor boats and it would take a skilled operator to run above idle with the amount of timber in the lake

How long has it been since they drained it? Two years now?

And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

I saw around ten of them curled up on branches like that. But they weren't interested in anything I was doing. They don't get curious until the water warms up

I might need to stop dangling my feet in the water here soon...

Wait, that looks thick, like a cottonmouth. And the color does not look like the "water snakes" I usually see. The head is trianglar making me think viper.

So is that or is that not the deadly cottonmouth?

Snake experts?
