Husband and I parked at Hurricane last Sunday (4-7) and someone broke out driver's window and stole several things. We had been there since Friday so we were loaded. Got a GPS that was in console, suitcase, etc. I sell Scentsy and they got 7 huge buckets of Scentsy wax (go figure.). We had two Yeti coolers and they just went thru them. They found my spare key that we forgot was hidden and left it in the ignition on so our battery was dead and we had to get a battery off of the boat to get it started. Figure they were getting ready to steal the car and someone came up.

Just wanted to warn people.

What is strange is there was glass all beside my car and other people parked by me and never called the police.

It really makes you mad and you feel so violated!

Had the same thing happen at the ramp by Rainswood on Fork window broken only thing stolen was a John Deere cap.

When was that? Some people do anything these days. We go out to fish and come back to something like that and it ruins the day not to mention our pocket books!

lake of the pines i guess is getting bad. a friend of mine had a cooler full of crappie stolen right out the back of his pickup. really rediculous. but boat ramps are easy targets i guess because there are so many people on the water this time of year. patrol really need to step it up around pines. i hate a thief!!!! yes shoot on sight!!

That is always terrible to hear. The kicker for the morons that did it is that the Yeti coolers that they left behind were probably the most expensive thing they could have taken.

I wish there was more active security at ramps and that people would actually have enough guts to say something if they see a broken window that is obviously from a break in.

BTW it's all over the country. I heard stories of stolen tailgates at the boat ramps turned in for scrap. That was up north in Detroit. It shows you people are looking for anything.

Make sure insurance is up to date and you can get all new equipment!

I know the feeling, I had my truck broken into in New Orleans just a block from Cafe Du Mon on a Sunday afternoon straight up 12 pm. I was only gone an hour. Lucky I had enough gas and $20 in my pocket cause they left me with nothing!!

Watching TV around midnight last night and I heard a car driving by the house slow, then notice the sound stops behind fence, then hear motor shut off. I went outside and didn't turn on the lights to side carport. Watch as guy comes walking down the street with 5 gallon plastic gas container. He can't see me but is walking like he is going on normal milk run. When I ask how I can help he turns tail and runs. Gave chase in my jeep but lost sight of him quick.

I just filled gas tank one night last week on my way home from work. Drove 9 miles total. Next morning I had half a tank. They had to fill at least two 5-gallon containers during the night from my truck.

It`s everywhere.Got broken into at Lake Worth by way of side window.Was staying at Fork for a weekend and had over 1/2 tank of gas taken while in a slip overnight.That was a real pain because no one on the lake had gas at the marinas and didn`t notice i was low on gas till i was way down the lake.Wife crys about my boat being inside and her car parked in the drive.Yel OK ,I`ll park it outside close to a conner in my next life.If you fish enough someone will get you.Now when i park ,the truck is empty doors unlocked and M T across back window with soap

Sorry to hear this but thats one of the worst ramps on pines has a bunch of meth heads that live right down the road from that ramp and the cops would have just said o well.
