I thought it was a joke at first too but turned out otherwise. Never thought of beavers as being all that dangerous, although any animal that feels threatened will attack/run.

wow... I wonder if that was a rabid beaver, I always thought they were docile creatures. Sad way to go for sure. No rope to tie around the leg, etc? man... very sad.

Wow, I am one lucky guy! I literally just took some pics of one I saw on the side of the road Wed. It was on Bonds Ranch road in north Fort Worth. First, time I had ever seen one in the wild.

Know of plenty of kayakers who have had not-so-nice encounters. I don't think a leg stands a chance looking at some of the trees I've seen.
