Is anyone fishing a tournament on Athens this Saturday. Someone said there was one with over a hunred boats and if that is the case we will need to move to another lake.

100 boats on Athens would be "pressure"

Athens can get crowded in a hurry. We were there while they were having a big one with about 75 boats a few years ago and it was a mess. Didn't hurt our fishing any though.

Terrible decision to have a tournament that large on Athens. Especially with only one lane available at the ramp. bang

If that's true it will likely be a cluster.

There was propaganda of a big tournament being held at Athens a weekend or two ago as well. I'm not sure about this. Either way, good luck, Athens has been fishing tougher than normal the past week or two.

Thanks for all the replies. According to the guy at the marina/bait shop this morning, there was one with about 75 boats and a couple of smaller ones. Whether it's true or not we are changing to another lake. If nothing else, parking would be real challenge.

Is it 75 boats or 75 entries? That would be a pretty big difference.

I may have to head NW to the Creek.
