It appears that "Whitey" has made the cover of "Texas Fish & Game." I would encourage you to read the article. Here are some highlights:
-Some old man brought them in from Lake Tawakoni during the 90's.
-Spawn in running creeks.
-They are here to stay...unless we drain the lake.
-A lot of people do not think they are such a bad thing.
So, let's embrace the White Bass movement and make them feel welcome.

Me too...they might even do a flip or two. But they are fun to catch.

So is it moral to kill a fish because it is of the wrong species? I do not like that they are in Lake Fork as much as the next person, but I do not kill them and throw them back in the water. You want to call yourself an ethical sportsman and you do this?

We ran into a big school of them on Fork a couple of years back and I shot some video. They were schooling over about 3 acres. You couldn't pitch a spoon without catching one, except when I was shooting video, of course! My friend Patti had a blast.

They can be fun to catch for awhile but the suckers poop all over everything! Green fish = mo bettah.
