All are JDM. I don't need any reels right now so I don't need anything for a particular presentation but I will find a use for whatever I get.

Daiwa zillion PE 100H- $370
Daiwa Z2020sh- $460
Daiwa T3 1016sh- $300

Shimano MG7- $297
Shimano scorpion dc7- $233
shimano metanium xg- $283
Shimano scorpion xt1000- $176

I have 3 of the Lew's tourney pro.....they are awesomeness and considerably less then what you're wanting to spend. If you want to spend that much just send me 100 bucks and I'll go buy the Lews for you.

I'd go with a core American version of jdm at a reasonable price

I always just seem to buy the best Shimano I can afford at the time.

....should've known. I have all the reels i need....all USDM shimano, daiwa, and quantum. NO, I'm not looking for a lews. I don't NEED anymore reels, just think it would be cool to buy one of the MENTIONED reels while I am here.

Anyone know what the PE version of a zillion means?
Is the Metanium a JDM version of a core?

It's looking like the metanium mg7 is $2 cheaper than the core mg7 at TW. Do you know if there is a difference on the two?

The only reel on your list that I have fished is the T3. It is such a fun reel. I'd be looking at a T3 MX. The price is nice right now too.

Guys I don't think he cares about a price. He's over there and is just picking up a nice new reel for himself.the ink reel I've used on that list is a zillion but If it was me and i just had the money to buy a reel like that I'd try and find a daiwa t3 air or the shimano metanium in an 8.5:1 gear ratio.

Exactly. I'm stuck on an island though so these are the only freshwater choices.

I'm thinking the z2020 as its $150 cheaper than I'm finding for the American z200

Get the Metanium XG. It is a new style not available in the states yet. Be the first of your friends to own it. The Shimano JDM reels are the bomb. Wouldn't get he DC.

Z2020 is a tank of a reel, probably the best out of the ones mentioned. That DC7 is sweet too, I love the electronic Shimano reels.

Daiwa zillion PE 100H- $370
Daiwa Z2020sh- $460 <==== Drop the big coin!
Daiwa T3 1016sh- $300

Shimano MG7- $297 <==== OR drop somewhat lesser coin!
Shimano scorpion dc7- $233
shimano metanium xg- $283
Shimano scorpion xt1000- $176

Above all else hold these two things in the greatest of circumspection; government and self.
