I've been catching a lot of large mouth bass on the dam....you can walk to the rocks from the free ramp at Lavonia park. It's a little bit of a hike, but well worth it. I'd expect some crappie to get in that rip rap at some point too, just hasn't happened as of last week.
I've landed probably a dozen decent sized bass from the bank though, made 2 trips so far, on rattle traps and texas rigged plastic worms, with a couple of them over 5lbs.
